- Description
- Fire up a fat one and enjoy the ride as Bowie takes us on a trip through a season in the life of two outlaw marijuana farmers. Somewhere in the lush Ontario woods, Frank, globe-trotting adventurer, and Gordie, paranoid poet-philosopher, carefully tend their 'rinks' of baby pot plants, hoping to hit it rich come harvest. But all is not well in this idyllic, stoned garden. Police helicopters buzz overhead and regularly raid marijuana operations. Pot trade and prison veteran Rosie Rowbotham recalls his own experience of the painful and incommensurate penalties that await growers and sellers. Alternating between the evocatively ethereal and the starkly realistic, Walk Naked Singing unequivocally condemns the persecution of both the plant and the people around it - Official Selection, 2002 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
